Purpose and body fitment

The presented window has been designed specifically for the rear right body section of the Volkswagen Golf 5K Mk6 family. Its placement in the rear side zone ensures proper stiffening of the body structure and correct interaction with seals, guides, and the door or side panel frame. Thanks to the factory edge profile and the appropriate bending radius, the glass works with original body components, which facilitates installation and minimizes the risk of leaks or unwanted stress.

Characteristics of the tinted window

The tinted rear right side window improves thermal comfort inside the vehicle by reducing the amount of sunlight reaching the cabin. This limits the heating of upholstery and plastic elements, which is particularly noticeable during the summer season. Additionally, the tint increases the level of privacy for rear-seat passengers and transported luggage, while giving the body a cohesive, aesthetic look consistent with Volkswagen's factory styling line.

Benefits of using an original used window

Choosing a used, original side window for the Volkswagen Golf 5K Mk6 allows you to maintain factory glass parameters, such as thickness, type of lamination, or tempering method, without the need to resort to replacements with uncertain tolerances. This is a beneficial solution both in technical and economic terms. Original glass from dismantling usually works better with existing seals and fittings, which translates into stable seating in the frame and reduction of wind noise while driving. Using components from the same model family reduces the risk of fitment issues and shortens installation time at a service center or body shop.

Safety and comfort of use

The rear right side window plays an important role in passive safety – properly selected glass helps control how fragments disperse in the event of damage, and correct seating in the body supports the side stiffness of the structure. The tint additionally reduces the glare effect for passengers from other vehicles' lights and intense solar radiation. In daily use, the user gains more comfortable travel conditions in the back seat, better protection of the interior against fading, and a visually consistent look of the side window line, which is important for maintaining the vehicle's value on the secondary market.

Technical support and selecting the right window

When planning a glass replacement, it is worth paying attention to the structural compatibility of the window with the specific body version and the quality of the installation itself. Practical tips on when a repair makes sense and when it is better to opt for a replacement with a used original can be found in the article: Cracks on the windshield? Why it is better to choose a used original with the manufacturer's logo for replacement. If you are planning a comprehensive repair or modernization of the side glazing zone in your Volkswagen and need other components from the same group, such as side door windows, rear side windows, or additional glass panels, check the available parts in the Volkswagen car windows category.
