Purpose and function of the glass

The presented glass is dedicated for installation in the rear left door, in the passenger area. The fixed design means there is no lowering mechanism, which translates into stability when seated in the door frame and reduces potential looseness and rattling while driving. The tinted, green glass acts as a light filter, improving thermal comfort inside the vehicle and reducing glare. At the same time, adequate light transmission is maintained, consistent with the typical factory standard for BMW side windows, which promotes safe visibility for passengers.

Performance parameters and benefits of installation

The fixed, tinted side window in the BMW F07 affects several key operational aspects:

• stable seating in the door frame, helping to reduce vibration and noise while driving,
• increased passenger comfort due to reduced interior heating,
• aesthetic color matching to the vehicle's other windows,
• preservation of the factory body line and the original character of the model. For the user, this means more comfortable travel conditions and a visually consistent appearance of the side of the bodywork, without the need for additional films or covers.

Glass characteristics and fitment for BMW

The glass color, specified as green, is a typical solution used by BMW in side windows, which makes it easier to maintain a uniform shade across all glazing. The tinting of the glass improves protection against solar radiation while not disturbing the clarity of the surroundings as seen from inside the vehicle. The placement in the rear – left side area makes this element important both from the point of view of passenger comfort and the visual symmetry of the vehicle. Proper matching of the shape and thickness of the glass to the BMW F07 door frame allows for correct installation using factory mounting points and seals.

Condition of the element and use in repairs

The glass comes from the used parts group, which in practice means a favorable cost-to-quality ratio while maintaining the manufacturer's original specifications. This type of element is particularly useful for post-accident repairs, replacement after glass breakage or scratching, and for restoring the vehicle to its factory appearance after previous modifications. Choosing an original used glass allows you to maintain compliance with factory glass parameters, avoiding problems with shape, shade, or thickness matching that may occur with cheap replacements.
