Purpose and fitment for Jaguar XF X260

This centre console insert has been developed as a component from the Cup holders group, dedicated to the interior of the Jaguar XF X260. The design is based on factory dimensions and mounting points, allowing for installation without modifications while maintaining the original styling lines of the cockpit. Properly profiled cup slots help reduce cup tilting during driving, which is particularly important during dynamic handling of a premium class vehicle.

Construction and functionality of the cup holder

The centre console insert is designed to provide convenient access to beverages for both the driver and the passenger. The well-thought-out shape of the slots allows for stable seating of cups, bottles, or thermal containers of standard diameters. The applied edge geometry facilitates inserting and removing drinks with one hand, which improves comfort during driving. The element integrates well with other components of the centre tunnel without interfering with the operation of the gear lever, parking brake, or multimedia control panel. As a result, handling beverages does not conflict with the vehicle's basic functions, and the interior maintains a consistent, orderly character.

Original origin and benefits of using a used part

The cup holder comes from the line of original Jaguar components, which translates into compliance with factory quality and fitment standards. Choosing an original, used centre console insert allows you to maintain material and colour consistency with other interior elements while reducing costs compared to purchasing a new sub-assembly. For users who want to better understand the advantages of using verified recycled parts in other vehicle systems, the article describing the selection of used brake components may be helpful: Brake calipers under the microscope – how to safely choose used parts and reduce repair costs. Although it concerns a different group of sub-assemblies, it well illustrates the approach to conscious use of original used parts.

Comfort of use and interior aesthetics

Using a dedicated cup holder in the Jaguar XF X260 improves the daily functionality of the cabin, especially during longer trips. Beverages have their designated place, which reduces the risk of accidental spills and makes it easier to keep the interior clean. At the same time, the factory aesthetics of the centre console are preserved, without the need for universal, clip-on solutions that often look visually out of place with the rest of the interior. This is a beneficial choice both when replacing a damaged element and when restoring full interior functionality after previous modifications. A properly selected cup holder affects the overall travel comfort, which is essential in a business-class car such as the Jaguar XF.
