Purpose and vehicle placement

The presented air vent grille is part of the Dashboard group, designed for installation in the front of the cabin, on the left side. The driver's side placement is important for both ergonomic operation and even air distribution in the cabin. The component works with factory ventilation ducts, directing the airflow exactly where the manufacturer intended.

Function and benefits of installation

The dashboard air vent grille is responsible for precisely directing air from the ventilation, heating, or air conditioning system. Replacing a damaged grille with an original Jaguar component allows you to:

• restore the proper operation of the airflow direction adjustment,
• maintain a consistent, aesthetic appearance of the dashboard,
• preserve compatibility with factory mounts and the cockpit shape,
• minimize the risk of unwanted noise resulting from component mismatch. By using an original air vent grille, you gain certainty of proper fitment with other dashboard components and stable seating in the intended location.

Characteristics of the used component

The offered air vent grille is a used component, which in practice means it comes from disassembly and was previously operated in a vehicle. This type of part is a good choice for repairs where maintaining the original geometry and interior appearance is key, while also optimizing costs. A used component from original Jaguar production allows for maintaining material and color consistency with the remaining parts of the dashboard.

Installation and dashboard fitment

The grille has been designed to work in the specific dashboard layout of the XK8 X100 model, taking into account the shape of the air ducts and the cockpit geometry. As a result, installation proceeds in an orderly manner, using factory mounting points. Proper fitment translates into:

• stable seating of the component in the dashboard structure,
• no need for modifications or reshaping,
• maintaining correct airflow in the ventilation system. Choosing an original air vent grille for your Jaguar allows you to avoid problems typical of aftermarket replacements, such as inaccurate fitment or differences in finish shade.
