Purpose and function of the component

The described trim cover is designed for installation on the right side of the tailgate, where it is responsible for the aesthetic closure of the internal structure and the protection of wiring, mounts, and paneling. A properly selected lining reduces the risk of abrasions, cracks, and noise resulting from contact between transported cargo and the tailgate metal. An element of this type is not only visually significant but also practical – it stabilizes the interior finish, makes it easier to keep the trunk clean, and helps maintain a consistent look for the entire rear section of the vehicle.

Construction and vehicle fitment

The cover belongs to a group of trim elements designed for a specific body model, taking into account the shape of the tailgate, embossments, and mounting points. As a result, installation is straightforward, and once attached, the lining creates a uniform surface with the remaining trunk upholstery panels. The factory design ensures:

• proper fitment to the geometry of the tailgate on the right side,
• designated spots for factory clips and mounts,
• consistent connection with adjacent trim elements.

Characteristics of the used part

The presented cover is a used part, which in practice means it comes from vehicle dismantling and may show signs of normal wear and tear. This type of component is a good choice for post-accident repairs, replacing missing interior elements, or restoring the vehicle to a near-factory state while maintaining reasonable costs. Using an original aftermarket lining allows for dimensional and mounting compatibility, which is particularly important in the case of trunk trim elements, where fitment with other panels and proper tailgate closing are essential.

Application in service practice

The right-side tailgate interior trim cover is suitable for situations where:

• the existing element is cracked, deformed, or missing,
• the vehicle has undergone body and paint repairs in the rear section and it is necessary to complete the trim,
• the customer wants to improve the overall visual condition of the cargo area. To maintain interior consistency, it is worth verifying the condition of other linings and decorative strips in the trunk. When selecting other trim elements, the category of original body parts and interior trim will be helpful, where you can find information about structural differences between individual solutions used by manufacturers.
